Inspect
We check the boards, fix loose ones and help you choose the finish and colour, with samples on your floor.
- 21 day
Sand
The old finish is sanded off in three grits, edges and corners detailed and gaps filled.
- 31 to 2 days
Seal
Stain is applied if you chose a new colour, then three coats of sealer or oil.
- 448 hours
Cure
Socks only for 24 hours, furniture back after 48 hours and rugs after 7 days.
How long it takes
Typical time on site for our team. Your quote confirms exact dates.

Allow extra time where screeding, moisture barriers or old floor removal are needed.
Before we start
A few things that keep the job on time and the result right.
- Rooms completely cleared, including curtains touching the floor
- The house should be empty of people and pets on sealing days
- Ventilation during sealing

Oil or lacquer?
Water-based lacquer is harder wearing and easy to maintain. Oil gives a natural, matt look and is easy to spot-repair. We will help you choose.
