Terms and conditions

The terms that apply to our quotes, orders, installations and this website. Written to be read, not to catch you out.

1. About us

Imbiza Flooring (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2024/170492/07, VAT number 4390318832) is a flooring supply and installation company based in Cape Town, South Africa. We are registered with the CIDB and on the Central Supplier Database (CSD). You can contact us at info@imbizaflooring.co.za or +27 81 302 1036.

2. Prices on this website

  • All prices shown include VAT at 15% and are for supply only unless stated otherwise.
  • Prices, box coverages and specifications come from our suppliers and are checked regularly, but they can change and errors can occur. The price on your written quote is the one that applies.
  • The quote basket and calculator give an estimate. They are not an order and do not reserve stock.

3. Quotes

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued, subject to stock availability.
  • Quantities are based on our measure and are rounded up to full boxes. Where you give us your own measurements, you are responsible for their accuracy.
  • If a supplier increases its price before your order is placed, we will tell you and you may cancel without charge.
  • Floor preparation is quoted from what we can assess on site. If lifting an old floor reveals damage, moisture or other conditions that could not reasonably be seen, we will explain what is needed and quote it before doing any additional work.

4. Orders and payment

  • An order is confirmed when you accept the quote in writing and pay the amount due.
  • Supply only: payment in full before stock is ordered or dispatched.
  • Supply and install: a 50% deposit secures your stock and installation date. The balance is due on completion of the installation.
  • We accept EFT. Please use your quote or invoice number as the reference.
  • Goods remain the property of Imbiza Flooring (Pty) Ltd until paid in full.
  • Commercial and government accounts may be offered other terms by written agreement.

5. Installation

  • Please make sure the rooms are empty, or agree with us beforehand if we are to move furniture. Water, electricity and safe access must be available.
  • Installation dates depend on the subfloor being ready. Screeds and new slabs need drying time, which we will explain on your quote.
  • We cut and remove old flooring where quoted, and leave the site clean and tidy. Rubble removal is quoted separately where needed.
  • Door trimming, skirting removal and refitting, and appliance moves are included only where listed on your quote.
  • Timber and laminate floors move with humidity. We leave the expansion gaps the manufacturer requires, and these are covered by skirting or trims.

6. Changes and cancellations

  • You may change or cancel an order before stock is ordered at no cost.
  • Once standard stock has been ordered, returns are handled under our returns policy. Special orders cannot be cancelled once placed with the supplier.
  • If you need to move an installation date, please give us at least 2 business days' notice.

7. Guarantee and warranty

Our installation workmanship is covered by our workmanship guarantee. Products carry the manufacturer's warranty, which we manage on your behalf.

8. Liability

We take care on every site and carry out our work with reasonable skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by factors outside our control, such as existing structural defects, plumbing leaks, or work done by others. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other South African law.

9. Using this website

  • Content on this site, including photos of our projects, belongs to Imbiza Flooring (Pty) Ltd or is used with permission. Product images and technical documents belong to their manufacturers.
  • Our flooring guides are general advice. Every floor and site is different, so ask us before relying on them for a specific job.
  • How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy policy.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, contact us first at info@imbizaflooring.co.za and we will respond within 2 business days. If we cannot resolve it, you may refer the matter to the National Consumer Commission or the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update them from time to time, and the version on this page on the date of your quote applies to your order.
