Mariendhal House

The brief

Growthpoint needed the amenity areas at Mariendhal House in Claremont brought up to standard, the male and female WCs and kitchenettes across multiple floors of the building. The floor had to be hard-wearing, water-tolerant and consistent from level to level, and the work had to slot into a live commercial building programme run by main contractor edwcape.

What we did

We prepared each area with self-levelling screed to give a dead-flat, sound base, then installed Vanguard Plantation luxury vinyl in Wheat Oak throughout. As a glue-down, fully waterproof floor, LVT is well suited to bathrooms and kitchenettes, and running the same product across every floor kept the look uniform building-wide. Work was phased and coordinated with edwcape to keep disruption to tenants to a minimum.

A clean, consistent and durable floor across all the WCs and kitchenettes at Mariendhal House, delivered on programme for Growthpoint, floor by floor.
