Steenberg Golf Estate

The brief

This Steenberg Golf Estate home had a beautiful Oggie engineered oak floor that had lost its way, greyed, patchy and dull in the high-traffic and sun-exposed areas. The owners didn’t want to replace it; they wanted the original raw, natural oak look brought back to life.

What we did

We machine-sanded the engineered oak back to clean, bare timber, then re-sealed it with WOCA Master Oil Invisible 2K, a premium hardwax-oil that protects the wood while keeping that untreated, “bare-oak” appearance, rather than the yellowing you get from a standard sealer. The result is a floor that looks natural and raw but is fully sealed and hard-wearing.

The result

The floor reads as fresh, natural oak again, even, clean and protected, with the invisible finish letting the timber speak for itself against the estate’s garden and light.
